Clearing the clipboard on exit is a feature of the Private browsing
mode. If you are viewing in the regular mode the text will be left on
the clipboard when you exit the program. If you are in Private browsing
mode, paste your text into Notepad before you close the browser.

Someone else will have to chime in then, because my FF ver. 21 doesn't
exhibit that behavior.

When I copy text from a web page, close FF, and paste, the text pastes just fine.

Are you in Private Browsing Mode? Options>Privacy> check mark on
"always use private browsing mode"
