I had to uninstall various all my flash plugins because Secunia told me
they were out of date and a security risk. Where do I find the latest
plugin for Firefox and how do I install it?

Thank you, Jeff

Hi Jeff!
The way I find the quickest, and easiest, is to:
go to Youtube.com
search for any random word (like test)
click on the first video result
Firefox will pop up a bar, alerting you that you need to install the
flash plugin, and it will give a button to click to begin the process.

If you are on Secunia personal software inspector - when it pops up to tell
you, just click on the icon (a blue ball as I recall) and it sends you
where you need to go. No searching.

Interesting. I'll remember that for next time.

Hey Fred,
The download isn't from Adobe, but via Firefox itself -- Firefox sees
that the flash plugin is needed, and lets the user know, and offers to
search for the required plugin to install.
Then, it connects to the Adobe servers, downloads the official plugin
installer, and starts to run the installer.

I found this experience to be a real, pain! I went into FF Add-Ons,
clicked Find Updates, and when I went to update the FlashPlayer PlugIn
it downloaded an Adobe Manager or something, (I removed it after it got
me the latest, FlashPlayer PlugIn). I would have liked to just, get the
install file for the latest, FlashPlayer PlugIn and installed it and not
had to deal with any 'middle man' kinda extension / add-on, that I
eventually, removed, anyway.

Or, you could cut out the middlemen (majorgeeks, filehippo...) and try
the Adobe site itself

- Adobe Flash Player uninstaller

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

- Getting the latest Flash Player for windows (non-IE)
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/thankyou/?installer=Flash_Player_10.1_for_Windows_-_Other_Browsers

- Installation instructions
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/productinfo/instructions/

(Did anyone mention Google search to you..?)
