Hi,

I guess it must have started in FF 55, but I'm not exactly sure as I was on holiday and only just noticed this yesterday after coming back to FF 55.0.2 already installed and this problem.

The computer is running Ubuntu 16.04 and is equipped with two soundcards. One is connected to internal speakers (built-in audio), the other to an external amplifier (USB card).

I play music from a web service which uses a flash applet (I know, I know) and I want to play it through the USB card.

Previously, when the flash applet was playing music, the stream would appear in pavucontrol and I could select the sound card it would go to.

Right now, the sound stream from the flash applet doesn't appear in pavucontrol at all and it insists on playing through the built-in card.

Other sound FF plays (e.g. youtube) appears in pavucontrol correctly. So it looks like this only affects audio from Flash.

This happens for all users on the same machine, so it can't be a problem with my user settings.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

I don't know how Flash fits in here, but

"Firefox Goes PulseAudio Only, Leaves ALSA Users With No Sound"

PulseAudio and my old Turtle Beach sound card don't get along well, I
don't like PulseAudio.

Apparently not, since it looks like it's playing the audio completely outside of PulseAudio.

It even ignores selecting the USB card as the default audio output device in Ubuntu's sound card config.
