How do I tell Firefox to print a web page without the header and footer
it adds to the page ? The header usually has "Firefox" in the upper left
hand corner, the web url in the upper right hand corner, the page number
of total pages in the lower left hand corner, and the date/time in the
lower right hand corner. I want to eliminate all that when printing
certain web pages.

under "print..." more settings, you should have a tick box for
headers/footers ...

It seems that Mozilla removed the option. In the past it could be done
with print -> page setup, but that does not work anymore. :'-(

Still ok for me ...

No, my bad, they changed the interface. (Very long ago that I changed
it.)

Print -> Options

Edward,

In my version of FF (v52) I can change such things under toolbar ->
"file" -> "page setup" -> (tab) "Margins & Header/Footer".

If you can't find that you could also go into "about:config", type
"printer." in the search box and see what you get. In my case I see a
number of entries ending with ".print_footerxxxx" and ".print_headerxxxx" (a
set for each installed printer), containing stuff like "&PT", "&D", "&T" and
"&U". I could imagine that when you remove those that the accociated
position on the printed page will empty too.

Don't forget to write down whats in there somewhere first though (so you can
restore it when needed). :-)

File | Page Setup... has a Margins & Header / Footer tab which I found.
