I'd like to be able to TOTALLY uninstall Firefox. I'm having a problem
with a couple of websites that I didn't have a while ago. I don't want
ANYTHING to show up--not my bookmarks or anything. I want to be able
to reinstall it as if it were the very first time it was ever
installed.
I went into the registry to try to take it out, but didn't get very
far with it.

Any ideas?

a lesson: all your setting, prefs, bookmarks, passwords,
etc, are stored in an area called the FF profile. This
directory is separate from the program directory. When you
uninstall, the profile is not touched.

To learn where your profile is located, you can read this:
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/edit#profile

and if you're using windows, then you must read this first:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/tips/hiddenfiles.mspx

Try clearing all temp files of firefox, clear cookies, etc and running
firefox in safemode first and see if the problem remains
If remain, backup only your plugins directory, goto the profile
directory and backup only your bookmark file.
Delete full directory profile and instalation directory and reinstall.

Before re-installing FF, you may want to try creating a new profile:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager

If that solves the problem, then see this page for info on transferring
data from the old profile to the new one:

Thanks to Gato2006chile. It worked! Clearing out all my data worked
and I am now able to enjoy the sites I had been able to enjoy before.

Thanks everyone!

Glad you solved your problem, and learned more about Firefox,
which will help you solve future problems now that you know where
your profile is located. If you want to learn more about your profile.
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile

Do you have a Firewall, because Firefox was recently updated to
2.0.0.5 and may require your Firewall to be aware of the change.
The Firefox update may be barely noticed, if you have automatic update.
See if the following articles look like your symptoms.
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firewalls
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Error_loading_any_website

Some of the more common problems are included on my site
and I just added the above.
