Hello group!

I would like to delete an event without sending a notification to the
other participants. To be precise I would like to be asked about every
mail that will be sent out. I just deleted an event in my calendar and
lightning sent a bunch of e-mails to all my colleagues asking them to
delete it as well. That is very much not what I wanted. :)

Best

If you send an invitation and you are going to cancel that one, not only
with respect to the invited attendees it's required to inform them about
the change, but each iCal program has to send that cancellation to the
attendees to conform to the standard it's based on.

Upps, I understood you're the organizer .. the standard (RFC) says:

3.2.5. CANCEL

The "CANCEL" method in a "VEVENT" calendar component is used to send
a cancellation notice of an existing event request to the affected
"Attendees". *The message is sent by the "Organizer" of the event.*
So -- if you are an attendee -- your deletion of an event/invitation on
your calendar should NOT send mails to the organizer/other attendees.

Think the LG authors should check, if it's as you said, I think a
correction is required.
