Hi
I'm having problems with a new caldav Yahoo calendar. I've followed
Yahoo's directions for the calendar address,
https://caldav.calendar.yahoo.com/dav/your_username/Calendar/your_calendar_name.
After adding the calendar I get an 'Authentication Required' pop-up 'A
user name and password are being requested by
https://caldav.calendar.yahoo.com. The site says: "Zimbra"'. I have to
make multiple attempts to add my username/password details before they
are accepted but then, periodically (normally adding/amending an event)
the same pop-up appears but it just won't accept the username/password
details so just close the pop-up. The calendar is then showing an error,
'The calendar Yahoo is momentarily not available', but this resolves
after sometime on a restart of Thunderbird.

Using Lightning 1.9.1 Provider for Google Calendar 0.18 on Thunderbird
17.0.7, Ubuntu 13.04. Also, have the same problem on Windows 8, same
versions.

Probably, a Yahoo server problem but just checking if any other fixes
available.

I've had the same problem after adding a Yahoo Calendar. It's been intermittent for me although I read somewhere that Yahoo refuses logins if they come too frequently in a given period of time, hence you put correct loggin info in and it just pops up and asks again and again. Yahoo needs 12 hours of no attempts to reset so:

Un-check or remove the Yahoo calendar from lightning so it will not try loging in for 12 hours. Also I reduced my "Yahoo-Calendar-Name"/Properties/Refresh Calendar Every____ setting to 30 Minute. Yahoo did not like 5. This worked form me but I can't say it's the definitive answer. One interesting link I found was Yahoo's login tracking page. https://api.login.yahoo.com/login/history?
Shows how often Lighting logs in... a lot.

When you have this running again, could you enable calendar.debug.log
and calendar.debug.log.verbose, then check the error console while its
running? Check for an excessive number of requests.

Also, be sure to enable the "Offline Support" in the calendar
properties, this will turn down the number of requests by a great amount.
