Hi there -
I am the QA Mgr. in the US for PFSweb/Rev Solutions
We use Testopia - so we have to export our test cases at times for our clients...
We export in a csv file -
Save in Excel... 2010 version
However, we have some issues-
If we use the "Testopia Number List default in Action and Expected Results Text Frames [see screenshots TestopiaTCaseNumberListDefault_1 & TestopiaTCaseNumberListDefault_2] ...
We have to clean up all the HTML code tags as well as losing the numbers, breaks, etc... hence the macro attached - I am replacing with a Circle * bullet - which is still not a clean as being able to keep the numbers, I am looking into creating a Macro to replace <li> with numbers in sequential order, but having issues..
So, I was wondering do you already have something like this available, since this is a default of Testopia... Would love to be able to keep the default Number list... :)
Also, I did notice if we enter the Numbers Manually - the numbers are kept, but of course you leave yourself open for human error more so this way...
Attached is a Macro I created to do this for us, includes deleting an moving columns.
Also I have attached a csv export from testopia with various ways we have entered - hope that helps
* 3 test cases created in Testopia - using the default Number Bullet list [174880-174882]
* 3 test cases imported into Testopia - manually entered each step w/the Number list [177339-177341] i.e.: 1. ALT&Enter, 2. ALT&Enter in each cell for each test case
* 1 test case created in Testopia - deleting the default Number Test list, and then manually entering the Number i.e.: 1. And press Enter key 2. and press Enter key
Thanks, Tbooker
