You should seriously consider using a Linux distribution, some things
simply won't work with Windows.

I should have been more detailed: Bugzilla uses a Perl framework to
execute some things async optionally, like mail sending, which is most
of the time not available for most of the Perl distributions for
Windows. Bugzilla will work without it of course, simply by sending
mails some other way, but additionally I find mod_perl for performance
reasons with httpd under Windows a bit cumbersome, there are some
integrations with VCS which use Perl packages which are mostly not
available for Windows etc. Counting all that there's little reason to
not just host it under some Linux distribution.

And yes, I hosted Bugzilla under Windows Server before myself, with
integration with SCMBug and such, and for day to day work I'm favoring
Windows 8.1 over all those Linux distributions available out there. So
I don't think I'm a Windows or Linux troll or such. ;-)

Hammad,

Were you able to get Bugzilla to work on Windows server 2012? I am trying to do the same now. I can get it to work, when accessing from Firefox. But when I try to access from IE, I am asked to log in at every click.

Thank you,

Joe

Sounds like you have a problem with your cookiepath configuration in
Bugzilla. Check that and what gets set as cookie form Bugzilla using
the dev tools of IE and Firefox.
