SMTP Debug - Bugzilla 3.4.6

Hi

Our emails have just stopped and i am trying to find out what the issue is.
The SMTP server is in use by other servers and is working for them (same address used)
Our bugzilla is hosted on Ubuntu 9.10

The help says "For SMTP users, there is a new parameter, smtp_debug. Turning on this parameter will log the full information about every SMTP session to your web server's error log, to help with debugging issues with SMTP"

We use Appache(2), however having set the mail debug logging parameter, i can't find any log file with info in it.

NB: I found nothing related to mail in the apache2 directory as references in some web pages.

But you did look into the following file? If there's nothing noted it
may a configuration issue and Bugzilla simply doesn't think it shoudl
send mails at all.

/var/log/apache2/error.log
