Hello guys,

Happy new year firstly.

Just began to use Bugzilla and got a problem when tried to configure
LDAP configuration with a Win2k Active Directory server.

The issue is that I've locked myself out after changing the
authentication method from database to ldap. I got an error message like
"could not connect to the LDAP server" so there must be some
misconfigurations of LDAP.

The first thing that should be resolved is how I can get myself logged
into Bugzilla again? Right now, I can't do any change in this situation.

Thanks.

Collin

Edit data/params to change "LDAP" to "DB".

Hello all,

I'm configuring LDAP authentication on Bugzilla and got a problem.

The problem is that I can't log in as an administrator anymore because
now Bugzilla authenticates my credentials against the LDAP server
instead of its own database, and obviously I didn't configure LDAP
authentication correctly.

So how can I log in as an administrator and change the authentication
method from LDAP to DB?

This is an urgent issue. Can anyone over there help me out of this?

Thanks a lot and happy new year.

Hey

Max already replied correctly .

go to bugzilla instalaltion folder in your PC . Edit data/params to change
"LDAP" to "DB" save it and try with ur admin username and password you given
at the time of Bugzilla installation .

if ur able to send the LDAP settings , i can help you out with the other
error ie could not connect to LDAP server.

Regards

Go into the data/params file and change Ldap to DB.
You can configure to first try ldap and then fall back to internal DB - useful while setting up and testing.

Hello guys,

Another question on Bugzilla's authentication against LDAP.

How can I assign different privileges to different accounts when using
LDAP? For example, if I want let Account-A has admin privilege, and
Account-B just be an ordinary user, how can I do that? Because on the
LDAP server, Account-A and B have no any different in the privileges.

Thanks,

Haolin
