Hello Everyone,
You may have seen this item at the last Council update, but I'm happy to
share that Mozilla Reps be a part of Mozilla's language learning
initiative. :)
This effort is led by Mozilla's Dino Anderson and he had identified that
50-60 Rosetta Stone licenses will be allotted to Mozilla Reps. Rosetta
Stone[1] is an award-winning language learning software and is used by
various institutions globally.
If you want to know more about the software, there will be a virtual
orientation for Mozillians to be presented by Rosetta Stone on May 1 & 2
and details on that will follow.
Related to his development is the creation of a lean ad hoc team that has
the task of facilitating the distribution of the limited number of
licenses-- the ReMo Rosetta Stone Team!
The team members, Hugo Acosta, Srikar Ananthula, and I, would be leading
the efforts to create the list of Reps who would be allotted licenses and
to make a waitlist if demand is high. We will also be very busy in the next
couple of weeks determining the steps how to make it easy for a Rep to
obtain a license.
We will be posting updated and asking for feedback, and if you're
interested in having a Rosetta Stone license and learn a new language or be
better at a language, please follow discussions on the mailing list.
