Hi Council,

Risman is unable to contribute in near future in Reps Program so he wants
to choose an option of Case 2 : I am leaving permanently of sop of leaving.

Please do the needful.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you so much for your reply.

I've just read the SOP page, and apparently it's quite clear that in my
case I'm supposed to take the permanent leave option. But It's really
relieving to know that I can get back to Mozilla Reps with simple steps if
I'm ready to be a Reps again someday.

So, yes, *I confirm* to leave permanently from Mozilla Reps, Sir. That's my
decision. Thank you again for explaining this to me.

Will I be notified when this process officially completed?

Have a nice day,
Best regards,

Risman R. Pratama

Dear Risman,

Thanks for writing in detail about the situation. I can understand.

As you said and I see, you are unavialable more than six months. and still
not sure when you can come back, please go thorugh "Case 2 : I am leaving
permanently" section in the 'sop of leaving' below -

Ref: https://wiki.mozilla.org/ReMo/SOPs/Leaving

If you are sure you cannot contribute in near future in the reps prgram
then I can write to council about your decision. Please confirm the same.

Mozilla is based on open source contributors and beleives in once Mozillian
aways Mozillian policy :-) and so will be better if you try to continue
giving your expertise and enrgy in the program. But if you want, As the SOP
says, You will be able to return to the program anytime just by contacting
me (mentor) and I will be glad to see you again working with the reps
prorgam.

Please let me know what you think.

Dear Mr. Ranjan,

My name is *Risman*,
a Mozilla Reps from Indonesia ( reps profile:
https://reps.mozilla.org/u/iman_stallion/
).
My (former) Reps mentor, Viking Karwur, has left the Mozilla Reps program
in December 2014 and more than 1 month ago a council member *reassigned me
to a new mentor, which is you*. It's really nice to know about you. I am
sorry if it took too long time for me to contact you.

This transition is happening during my temporary leave as a Mozilla Reps. *I've
been inactive since about half a year ago*. Previously, I said to council
member (and I think I wrote it too in a sort of form on Reps website) that
I would be ready *and back to Mozilla Reps activity again this month. But
apparently I can't*. If I may I'd like to ask you some advice about this as
my new mentor. Here's the backstory.

The reason to my temporary leave was because of my workload in 2 jobs: my
day job and a startup I'm building. I had planned to leave one of it in
April or May 2015, and then I might have the time again to do my
responsibilities as a Rep. But things went differently than I had
predicted. My startup got funded and I've given more flexible position and
working time in my day job. In a good way, I have no reason to quit any of
my jobs anymore and I think it's an important decision for my career.

But then, it's still impossible for me to fulfill a Rep duty well. Like
before, the energy and time I have left everyday is not enough for it. This
time I'm really *not sure about when I will be ready to continue* doing
Reps activities. So,

1. Is it okay to remain inactive for an undetermined time?

2. Or do you think it's better for me to quit the reps program (and perhaps
rejoin later someday)?

How do you think? I still love Mozilla and the community, and I wish to
engage in Mozilla projects again when I can. But I'm not sure when it is
and what's the best thing to do right now.

*Thank you* for taking time to read through my email. I'm looking forward
to your reply. Have a nice day Sir!

*Best Regards,*

Risman R. Pratama
