[Bangladesh] Issue Mozfest 2014

Dear ReMo Council members,
in response of Brian's mail to *mak*; I am writing this mail to you on
behalf of the community.
The main issue is delicate and embarrassing for us to talk. We are very
much astonished to see, council considering a non-active Reps to sponsor
for Mozilla Festival. First, it was nothing, later the news spread within
the community of her getting nominated made the other non-Reps Mozillians
and active contributors become very sad. After more time, people started
expressing grievance and suddenly there was an agitation against the
"Firefox OS Core Launch team". They are angry on us because for last
several months we've been motivating and mobilizing Mozillians to work for
the launch of Firefox OS.
On behalf of all Mozillians and contributors, can we request you to change
your decision of selecting *Tanha Islam* for MozFest and sponsor none form
Bangladesh this year ?
Please don't ask us again, why and how we believe she is inactive. We don't
want to get into mud-slinging war.
This is just a request to keep the community cohesion intact in Bangladesh.
We have a different culture and most of the community members are from
non-professional background.
Regardless the council, re-evaluate sponsoring the debated Reps or not; we
all are cool again and going back to our stations to start working for the
Launch, ASAP.
Further more, our another humble request to you, please consider from now
on to consult with the community core-volunteer, before selecting anyone
form Mozilla Bangladesh for anything. We believe the final decision is
yours and we all want to respect your decision.
Your willingness to inquire about our concern is very much satisfying. We
are grateful to you all.

Hi Maliha,
Thank you for your email. We are currently busy at RemoCamp, which means
our follow-up will not be immediate. It may take a day or two because of
post-event travel. However, this is our first priority and we are
actively discussing it. We will respond soon.
