Dear Reps,
I speak on behalf of the Reps Peers. We are the body responsible to call
for Council elections.
<tl;dr>
Reps Council elections will take place in July/August.
<long version>
During the Reps Council (and Peers) meeting in Berlin in April 2016 it
became clear that Council elections should be shifted from May to
July/August. The main driver for this decision is the work load on
Council&Peers due to the June Mozilla All-Hands Meeting in London. This
decision is reflected in the Council Election issue on github [1]. We
are aware that this is not an optimal solution. Nevertheless, we
consider it to be a pragmatic, viable way in alignment with Reps
governance principles.
Fellow Reps, thanks a lot for your understanding, continuing support and
lets keep impacting the Open Web!
