Hi all,

I came across the Kilimanjaro event [1] a couple of weeks ago and noticed
they have weekly meetings to discuss this among other things. I often
discover/stumble on various Mozilla projects/teams some of which I get
interested in and join; so it got me thinking, most of them have weekly or
so calls and IRC meetings. If we could have a central place where teams can
post dates and timings for their meetups it could be a potential area where
Mozillians can stumble upon (so as to say) on projects/teams they may be
interested in joining.

Now I don't know if something similar already exists or whether this is
scalable with regards to the number and frequency of calls and IRC meetings
but I definitely think it would increase the visibility of stuff we are
currently working on and need help/feedback with.

Hi Alex,

as far as I know, the "central site" for weekly calls seems to be:
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Main_Page#Project_Coordination_Meetings

I am missing the Webmaking calls on this list
(https://wiki.mozilla.org/Webmakers/Project_Community_Calls). For this
reason I just dropped an email with the corresponding links to somebody
with write-access requesting the changes to be made.

Best regards,
Henrik

There is also this wiki page that lists project meetings:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Community_Calendar

It is fairly out of date though.

Some of this information is out of date too -- in particular the
www.mozilla.org and Drumbeat information.

If someone wanted to take over maintaining the Community Calendar page
and update it, I agree with Alex that it would be really useful to
have this information available.

FYI, I just filed this bug to clean up some of the out of date content
on the wiki main page.

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=761195

Looking over the rest of the main page shows there's lots of other out
of date information (like a page from January 2006 about our product
plans).

If anyone wants to help clean this up and put more current content in,
that would be great. Maybe start an etherpad where we can work out
changes there?
