Hi,
I would like to know the status of this project (can't find the code
anywhere) since we are improving our own event project to fit new needs,
it would be great to contribute to speed up the events.mozilla.org
project instead of working just on our own.

In any case, our project is also Django so we can probably share code.

Hey Nuke!
As of now we have been enhancing the Events functionality of Mozilla
Reps portal to shape it up for events.mozilla.org deployment. We plan
to have a meeting next week on CBT Toronto to discuss the
events.mozilla.org plans now that almost all functionality requested
(by various parties and through many discussions) is there. We would
love to have you included in this discussion to shape up the
requirements and integrate as much as possible.
@Ali do we have a time set for that?

CBT meetup is in two weeks, not next week.
