The soapbox message is shown to all MDN visitors, of which only a tiny
fraction contribute to MDN. I'm not sure it's the best way to target
your intended audience. Posting to this and the content (dev-mdc) and
development (dev-mdn) focused mailing lists might be a more effective
way to reach Mozilla contributors.
That said, we did survey MDN contributors via the soapbox last summer,
so it has been done.
