Meta Description at Mozilla Blog

Hi,

I found that all articles on blog.mozilla.com don't have meta
description... So when people share it on facebook, or google+, it
don't show any description...

Maybe someone from the IT team can help with this issue?

I could take a look at this but I will need administrative access to the
blog. I currently have administrative access
to the about:mozilla blog so will be running some checks here.

I'm willing to help with this, as I am currently reading a lot about Mozilla through different Mozilla Blogs. I don't necessarily need administrative privileges, we might think about a form to submit meta-info about pages, and assign someone to approve those info.

I thought it should be the writer of the article who should put what
"meta desc" to use and put from the admin page, like wp, joomla, or
drupal cms... Because i usually work with joomla, this what i usually
do, copy the first paragraph of the article, and paste it to the meta
desc box...

Should we ask the writer to do extra work to put the meta desc
manually? Or the it team of mozilla can add some script to
automatically use the first paragraph as the meta desc...
