Not sure at what _time_ (and even if, what time zone) today this will

Is it perhaps appropriate to say "See you on the other side" here?

It's been a nice ride.

You mean Scott? He just disappeared several years ago. Very strange...

The firefox and thunderbirds groups are moderated.
So you cannot posts there anymore.
(by the way, I did not try)

The other newsgroups are not moderated.
So you can post as long as the mozilla newsserver works.

I doubt if the moderator is still around.  He is not going to waste time on these newsgroups as Mitch Baker has decided to shut down anything that was good for Mozilla.  She is/was paid 4 million USD per year to destroy things!

The other newsgroups are not moderated.

Let's see if this comes through!

However, people have decided to find alternative solutions.  I am using Microsoft Edge so Firefox is not my main browser;  Also, for emails I use Outlook so that solves the problem.  For newsgroups we need Thunderbird so I use 68.12.1 though I will upgrade to the latest when I feel like.

Perhaps if you updated your Outlook to Outlook express, you would be
able to do Newsgroups on it.

Why install an E-Mail program (Thunderbird) just to do NewsGroups??

Why install a Newsreader application, just to do newsgroups when you can
use SeaMonkey or Thunderbird.

The date of ending the mozilla newsserver is not yet mentioned.

At april 3th the moderation of the firefox and thunderbird
newsgroup stopped. You don't see new messages in
these 2 groups on the mozilla server.
On some other newsservers is posting allowed,
but those servers are not peered with the mozilla server.
