Can we get a compact UI in Thunderbird like the one in Firefox 5 + LessChrome HD add-on installed?

While I love Thunderbird, the current release wastes acres of screen real estate at the top of the window by stacking tabs + file menu + the window title bar. Can this be fixed, possibly by a mainstream release + Add-on as in the case of Firefox 5 + LessChrome HD?

Thanks!

You can already customize the buttons and bars.
1. move buttons and search bar to the top line
2. only display buttons, no text
And you should have gained at least 1 inch on a 19" screen.
