Dear Mozilla Firefox:
This might help some Firefox users who have the problem
with some You tube videos not playing and receive the
awful "Kiss of Death" notice that says "hello, you have
either java turned off or need to update flash" when
this is not what actually is wrong. I spent several
weeks desperately trying to look on the internet to
figure what was wrong and what I could do about it. I
found the answer at Poly Geek .com. One of the solutions
that a person had mentioned was that it had to do with the
line "ad.doubleclick.net" in the host file (?). You will need
to go to the the site to have it explained correctly, as I am
not very computer savvy. Now, they had a mac. and other things
were different- but I found that I could apply the same principle.
I have Firefox 3.6 with adblocker plus, so what i did was this: I
opened adblocker, clicked on "preferences", found the line (?):
"adi/N4270.specifc/B4781090;sz=160x600;click=..." and I unchecked
that entry, then checked "ok", then closed Firefox, then reopened
Firefox- and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!. Hopefully this will help some
people with this problem. I would like to thank Poly Greek again
for figuring this out.
