Yesterday
- Finished documenting -moz-text-size-adjust and the inflation
algorithm. Asked for review in the bug.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/CSS/text-size-adjust
Side note: never use the -webkit-text-size-adjust on a Web site: rather
than having an effect on mobile only, it has a bug: no more zooming
available on any Webkit desktop browser (Safari, Chrome and all the
others!). A a11y havoc.
- Started to document the part of CSS3 Conditionals landing for Firefox
11. To do this I need to write two basic CSS concept articles: one on
the syntax, the other on what is an at-rule. I'm excited about these!

Today
- CSS Syntax and CSS at-rule articles
- 1:1 w/ Stormy
- Review 3 Apps articles in French and prepare the pages for 2 more
being translated.
- E-mail: I'm far behing
- Mah-Jong (for the first time this year)

Yesterday:

- Finished a first draft of the Firefox 2011/2012 blog post. Spoke to Blizzard and am waiting for feedback
- Cleaned up the drafts on Hacks/hunted down people. Only Havi left now, will get her when she's back. :-) https://hacks.mozilla.org/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=post
- E-mail, Twitter

Today:

- Start researching the Camera API
- A number of comments on Hacks to tend to
- Accept to speak at the Toster conference in Moscow in May
- Forward a Barcelona speaking request to Rob, since it seems to be mostly about gaming (and at a time where I've been away a lot)
- E-mail, Twitter

Best regards,
Robert

Yesterday:

* Got the core of my sample extension for the source editor API working. Will polish it up the next day or two. I plan to also use it to show a few other things. Going to be a good all-around example, I hope.

Today:

* Aurora 13 feature review meeting.
* MDN planning meeting
* Wiki Wednesday
* more work on the sample extension.

Yesterday

* Had breakfast with the guys from Pusher (real-time message platform)
* Attended day 2 of GDC
o Ended up only going to a couple sessions as I was meeting people
or catching up with emails the rest of the time
o The Google talk on the bleeding edge of HTML5 games was balanced
and quite informative, I was impressed
+ They also used my Gamepad API demo (which I missed by about
1 minute)
o Bumped into someone who has a tonne of experience with the game
industry in Asia and would love to work with us to bring the
Marketplace and games to that market, and vice versa
+ I will be following that up today
* Met up with the guy behind FTW, a company providing a universal game
identity service
o http://www.getftw.com/
o Had a very fun discussion and have agreed to meet up in NYC
(where he's based) in a couple week to discuss this more and
show him B2G
o Turns out he's good friends with Chrissie Brodigen. Small world!
* Had lunch with a couple of guys at Twitter HQ
o Was cool seeing the place that Twitter is built but I was left
slightly underwhelmed (don't meet your heroes and all that)
o They have over 900 staff and are hiring many more a week -- I
couldn't work out what they needed 900 people for!
* Sent talk titles and abstracts to a few event organisers
* Had my talk at Web Directions Code in Melbourne this May fully
announced to the public
o http://code12melb.webdirections.org/#day2
* Had dinner with Vik Bhatti from Visual.ly and chilled at their
offices to see their pre-release software
o http://visual.ly
o It's a really nice data visualisation service that uses your
existing social data
o Public release is this Thursday/Friday
* Probably something else but I'm finding it hard to stop and reflect
at the moment; I'll do that next week

Today

* Attend day 3 of GDC (can't believe there is still 2 more full days
after this)
o Find Martin and liaise with him about plans for the rest of the week
o Grab a t-shirt from the Massively Fun team (the guys behind Word
Squared)
o Head by the Brass Monkey SDK booth
o Possibly check out some of the sessions but I'll likely be too busy
* Meet up with Barry and Stormy for lunch
* Drool over the B2G phones that Barry is bringing along and have a
quick hack around with them
* Set aside a chunk of time this afternoon to flesh out some Gladius
documentation content with Alan Kligman
* Potentially have dinner with another guy from the UK
o I swear I've met more UK peeps here than I do in the UK!

Yesterday:

* Read Christian's post on local storage
* Shared an idea for the Mozilla April Fools prank
* Sent an email to Derby judges to remind them to vote before Thursday.
Everyone finished voting shortly after.
* Responded to lots of Dev Derby inquiries, including questions about
updating demos, questions about participating, and a suggestion of a
group to reach out to

Today:

* MDN Dev Meeting
* Respond to a few more Derby questions that need my attention
* Finalize February Derby winner. Blog post later this week.
