I haven't found a way to get it to work yet. When I look on the XUL reference it says something about Firefox/Gecko, but I'm not quite certain if it's removed or just needs help to work. I'm using XULrunner 18.0 and Gecko 18.

What's the problem you're having exactly? It's definitely still
implemented. It's part of the core Gecko system that's used by Firefox.

I haven't been able to actually get the tabbbrowser working. Are there special preferences and such that I need for it?

<tabbrowser> is app specific. Each application (Firefox, SeaMonkey) has
it's own implementation of <tabbrowser>. garrettemeraldflame needs to
implement (via a XBL binding) or adapt an existing implementation for
his purposes.

However it would be nice to have a basic bare-bones <tabbrowser>
implementation in /toolkit/ which can be extended or subclassed by
Firefox, SeaMonkey, or random XULrunner applications.

How exactly could I create an implementation for my application?

It would really be helpful if I could have someone tell me how or give me a link to somewhere that can tell me how to implement the tabbrowser. Are there any actual tutorials out there for fairly new people, or anyone at all?
