In bug 510335, the plan is to remove support for the left and top CSS
properties for the children of stacks, for performance reasons.

Only the attribute form would remain (as in <element left="20">)
This feature isn't used in Firefox/Thunderbird/Suite as far as I can tell.
Please respond here if you have an addon or code which uses the CSS
form, but could not be converted to use the attribute form.
