xhtml and java applet

Hi,

A java applet is not showing in firefox 3.0.6 (Windows Vista) when the
file has xml extension and works when the file has html (or xhtml)
extension.
The 2 files are the same and conformant to xhtml strict according to w3c
validator. The files and java applet are attached here in a zip archive.
I could not find anything in the list archive.

Could anyone tell me what I am missing here?

That attachment got stripped (as all attachments are). You'll have to
post your testcase elsewhere and point to it....

Both versions work fine over here in Firefox 3 (on Mac, though).

So it's probably Windows Vista issue?
I will try other platforms as soon as possible.
