So that means that we might need some UI to cover changing the battery when it runs out. I'm assuming that we can detect one way or another that the battery has run out.

This would be very low priority (i.e. definitely not P1)

Also, we need to consider access (for changing the battery) and shipping with some type of removable plastic piece.

Since we'll be connected to the network, we can sync with network time.

So we really only need the RTC to cover times where we're collecting data and not connected to the network.

A 2032 seems pretty standard.
