I don't know Rust besides 'hello world' and I don't want to be
unproductive for the next weeks while learning it. The schedule is
tight, so I' against Rust for now.
That said, most of the firmware's components will probably be
self-contained. If it makes sense, we can replace them one by one with
Rust implementations later on.
