Respawn Entertainment, the developer behind Apex Legends, has delighted fans by announcing the return of the beloved Three Strikes mode to the popular battle royale game. This exciting news follows the recent Apex Legends-Post Malone event, as Respawn aims to maintain the game's momentum.

Throughout its lifespan, Apex Legends has introduced various Limited-Time Modes (LTMs), including the fan-favorite Winter Express mode, which traditionally makes a yearly appearance every December. While most LTMs in Apex Legends usually make a return after several months, the rapid reintroduction of Three Strikes suggests the mode might be on track for a permanent addition if players continue to embrace it. The Three Strikes mode introduces a unique twist to the traditional Apex Legends formula, granting squads three chances to win the match by allowing each team to respawn twice. Once a team is fully downed, they are respawned in skydive mode above a nearby Point of Interest (POI), retaining all their loot except supply drop weapons. Players are invincible when downed, preventing them from being fully eliminated until the entire team is downed. Teammates can be revived in just one second, receiving 70 HP upon revival instead of the usual 20 HP.

This dynamic gameplay results in a fast-paced and intense mode, altering the flow of Apex Legends matches. Teams become more aggressive, and there is less pressure to avoid mistakes, creating a constant loop of action with teams always spawning nearby.
