If you're into woodworking and you've scoured the internet in search of the best woodworking plans to refine and master your craft, chances are you've encountered Teds Woodworking. Teds' collection of woodworking "plans" has gained significant popularity recently. At first glance at Teds Woodworking sales page, one might believe that Teds' plans could be the solution to all woodworking project dilemmas.

The idea of spending a mere $67 on a staggering 16,000 high-quality woodworking plans, accompanied by a complete "treasure trove" of in-depth video training tutorials hosted by the master craftsman himself, Ted McGrath, seems too good to be true. We're talking about step-by-step instructions with detailed "blueprints" from the much-famed woodworking wizard, Ted.

However, let's dig a little deeper to find out if Ted's "esteemed" woodworking plans are worth your invaluable time and, more importantly, your money. If you're interested in making money online from woodworking, you need the right guidance and woodworking plans. But can you really get that from Ted's Woodworking?

WHAT IS TEDS WOODWORKING?
To answer that question, let's first explore who Ted McGrath is and whether this guy is legit. Luckily, the US military invented the internet, allowing you to conduct in-depth research. Despite attempting to find information about Ted McGrath's qualifications or geographical whereabouts, I couldn't find anything. No Facebook page, no LinkedIn, Twitter—nothing.

While this isn't a reason to raise alarm bells, considering Ted is the self-proclaimed "master craftsman" you'll be learning from, it raises questions. If Ted is the woodworking world's Yoda, shouldn't he have a reputation? Well, not exactly. The reason Ted is nowhere else online and is a certified ghost on every platform besides Ted's sales page is that Ted McGrath doesn't actually exist. Ted is a fictional character, like the Easter Bunny or Johnny Depp in every other Tim Burton film that no one cared to watch.

So, if Ted isn't real, are his 16,000 woodworking plans fake too?

ARE TEDS WOODWORKING PLANS ANY GOOD?
That entirely depends on your definition of "good." If exchanging your hard-earned money for a collection of appalling plans illegally ripped from other publications doesn't sound good to you, we might not be on the same page. Having purchased Teds Woodworking Plans myself, I can tell you exactly what's not good about this course.

Firstly, the plans themselves are put together like a dog's breakfast at an Albanian pet shelter. There's almost zero effort gone into arranging or organizing these plans for effective study. Helen Keller and Stevie Wonder could have assembled a better course after sharing a wheelbarrow full of Vodka than what Ted and his cronies slapped together in this woeful course. It's a mess, and finding anything specific is a complete nightmare.

Apart from the disarray, Ted's plans are also of horrendous quality. When Ted said I'd be getting "blueprints," I assumed I'd receive uniquely detailed drawings with appreciable authenticity. Instead, these so-called blueprints resemble something my 3-year-old niece would create with crayons after a cup full of powdered sugar. I'd much rather receive the latter, as she wouldn't charge me $67 for such glorified cat scratch.

IS TED’S WOODWORKING WORTH THE MONEY?
Whether Ted's Woodworking is worth the money is somewhat subjective and largely depends on how you value money. To put things in perspective, I once spent over $200 on a glass of Single Malt Scotch Whiskey while traveling, leaving me in a questionable state. Was this fancy glass of rocket fuel worth the $200? Yes, because I knew exactly what I was getting.

This is also the reason why I cannot justify the comical cost associated with Teds Woodworking Plans, as you're obviously not getting what you've paid for. If Ted's Woodworking Plans were not advertised as the greatest thing since carved wood, I might just sing a different tune while attempting to get my money back from Clickbank (good luck with that). The underlying fact is that Ted's dreadful woodworking course is misleading, and these 16,000 plans issued by Ted are of terribly poor quality and extremely outdated.

In short, if you like the idea of paying for an atrocious informational product peddled by a make-believe character like Ted McGrath, go for it. I, however, will stick to hammering my poor liver with hard booze as I'm fully aware of what I'm trading my money for, unlike whatever it is Ted and his team of misfits seem to be peddling.

Fortunately, superior substitutes are available for online woodworking courses. We've done the right research so you don't have to.

WHERE CAN I FIND LEGIT WOODWORKING PLANS?
Ideally, for complete beginners, finding a woodworking school or private program nearby to learn the trade is recommended. Woodworking, carpentry, and joinery are highly-skilled trades requiring trial and error to become exceptionally skillful.

For those past the beginner stage and interested in obtaining notable content with detailed instructions, Craftsy offers an excellent online woodworking course. Craftsy has developed a genuine course with an immeasurable amount of attention to detail. You'll learn valuable skills from actual woodworking professionals via detailed instructable high-definition videos.

Craftsy's courses are what Ted's Woodworking Plans were supposed to be. They provide step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow and very affordable. If you're interested in leveling up your craftsmanship skills and building remarkable wood projects, Craftsy is highly recommended.

Or, you can continue wasting money on dreadful plans from a make-believe character like Ted McGrath. The choice is yours.

WHAT IS CRAFTSY ONLINE WOODWORKING COURSE ALL ABOUT?
Craftsy's online woodworking course offers a genuine learning experience compared to what Ted's Woodworking or other similar products provide. Craftsy's courses are professionally formulated and structured, providing valuable skills through detailed instructable high-definition videos.

Craftsy's courses cover a range of woodworking projects, from arts and crafts style to contemporary coffee tables. They deliver what Ted's Woodworking Plans promised but failed to deliver.

IS THERE A BETTER ALTERNATIVE TO CRAFTSY?
While I won't claim it's "better," Popular Woodworking is another fantastic option offering potential woodworking knowledge seekers an astonishing 400 superbly produced woodworking videos. Popular Woodworking has nearly compiled The Royal Library of woodworking for craftsmen fanatics.

Although a bit more expensive than Craftsy, the additional cost is easily justifiable due to the quantity and quality of content. Popular Woodworking has established itself as a true authority in the woodworking space, offering plans for easy DIY projects, furniture projects, advanced woodworking projects, and DIY workshop projects.

WHERE TO GET FREE WOODWORKING PLANS?
For free woodworking plans online, Woodsmith Plans or Rockler are recommended. However, finding free plans that allow you to create unique designs might be challenging. If you're somewhat advanced, a paid course like Craftsy or Popular Woodworking might be a better alternative.

Steve Ramsey's Woodworking for Mere Mortals course is another paid option for beginners. Steve is a real "master craftsman," a title Ted McGrath claims but doesn't live up to. For beginners interested in learning the basics and attempting rudimentary projects, YouTube, Rockler, Woodsmith's, and Craftsy are go-to guides.

IN CONCLUSION
There are very few accredited woodworking courses worth your valuable time and money. Beyond that, there's an abundance of deceitful online characters peddling what's believed to be "free plans" to unsuspecting enthusiasts who are later spammed with "one-time" offers. The truth is, nothing is ever truly free, especially woodworking plans.

There are viable educational options for learning woodworking, and Ted's Woodworking definitely isn't one of them. Whether you choose a paid course from Craftsy or Popular Woodworking or seek skills from YouTube's finest woodworkers, the best investment you can make is in yourself.

I hope you enjoyed reading this honest review of Ted's Woodworking. While you might be somewhat disappointed that Ted's Woodworking Plans aren't exactly what you hoped, at least you now know the truth and can make the right choice without squandering your time and money.

Teds' collection of woodworking “plans” has gained popularity recently. At first glance, the sales page might convince you that Teds' plans could be the solution to all your woodworking project needs.

Spending a mere $67 for a whopping 16,000 high-quality woodworking plans, accompanied by in-depth video training tutorials from master craftsman Ted McGrath himself – it sounds too good to be true, doesn't it? Detailed “blueprints” from the woodworking wizard Ted add to the allure.

But let's delve deeper to find out if Ted’s woodworking plans are worth your time and, more importantly, your money.

WHAT IS TEDS WOODWORKING?

To answer that question, let's first explore who Ted McGrath is and if he's legitimate. Thanks to the wonders of the internet, extensive research can reveal a person's qualifications and background. However, in the case of Ted McGrath, the acclaimed “master craftsman” behind Teds Woodworking, the search yields minimal results.

Despite a couple of images portraying someone as Ted, there's a surprising lack of presence on social media platforms. The absence of a Facebook page, LinkedIn, Twitter, or any other online trace raises questions. If Ted is indeed a woodworking guru, shouldn't he have a notable online reputation? Strangely, Ted McGrath appears to be a fictional character – a woodworking Yoda whose existence is confined to the sales page.

So, if Ted isn’t real, are his 16,000 woodworking plans also fake?

ARE TEDS WOODWORKING PLANS ANY GOOD?

The subjective assessment of the goodness of Teds' woodworking plans hinges on your definition of “good.” If by “good,” you mean exchanging your hard-earned money for a collection of poorly organized and low-quality plans, then Ted’s plans might not be your best choice.

Having personally purchased Teds Woodworking Plans, it's evident that the plans are poorly assembled and lack organization. Finding specific plans within this disarray is a nightmare. Moreover, the quality of the plans is subpar, resembling something a child might create with crayons.

When Ted promises “blueprints,” the expectation is uniquely detailed drawings with authenticity. However, what you receive is closer to a child's scribbles after a sugar-fueled art session. The plans are not only disorganized but also of terrible quality.

IS TED’S WOODWORKING WORTH THE MONEY?

The worth of Ted’s Woodworking is subjective and depends on how you value your money. Comparing it to a personal experience, such as spending $200 on a glass of Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, reveals the importance of knowing what you're getting. If Ted’s Woodworking Plans were not touted as a revolutionary product, the cost might be more justifiable.

However, the misleading nature of Ted’s course, coupled with the poor quality and outdated plans, makes it difficult to justify the cost. Ted’s Woodworking Plans fall short of expectations, providing misleading information and delivering plans that are essentially useless.

Fortunately, superior alternatives exist for online woodworking courses, offering better value for your money. Craftsy, for instance, stands out with professionally structured courses and high-quality content. Comparatively, Craftsy offers what Ted’s Woodworking Plans promised but failed to deliver.

WHERE CAN I FIND LEGIT WOODWORKING PLANS?

For beginners or those seeking a legitimate online woodworking course, Craftsy is a highly recommended option. Craftsy’s courses, presented by actual woodworking professionals, offer step-by-step instructions in high-definition videos. The courses cover various woodworking projects, providing valuable skills and knowledge.

Popular Woodworking is another excellent choice, offering a vast library of 400 well-produced woodworking videos. While it may be slightly more expensive than Craftsy, the additional cost is justified by the quantity and quality of content.

Woodsmith Plans and Rockler are reliable sources for free woodworking plans online. However, finding free plans that allow for unique designs may be challenging. For more advanced learners, investing in paid courses like Craftsy or Popular Woodworking might be a better alternative.

In conclusion, while there are legitimate options for learning woodworking online, Ted’s Woodworking falls short of expectations. Understanding the truth about Ted’s misleading claims empowers you to make informed choices, ensuring your time and money are wisely invested in genuine educational resources.
