Would, after the 3.6 beta 1 release, an agenda item for a roadmap update
be acceptable for this meeting ?

Does the fact that beta 1 went out about two month behind the initial
schedule means also that the final release will be scheduled for middle
January or is an aggressive "beta -> final" timing to release it earlier
realistic ?

How does it translate for the 3.7 release ? Won't the planning for that
one be more like early summer/very end of first semester ?

We shouldn't change the agenda just because a milestone happened. If
you would like someone (beltzner, damon?) to address the roadmap you an
ask them. I can ask them too.

We are still targeting 3.6 in December. There is a chance we will pull
in into November or on the other hand, there is a chance it will slip
into early next year. We are definitely pursuing the aggressive beta->
final option!

We are still targeting Spring of 2010 for 3.7. That is somewhat
independent as many features are being developed in parallel to 3.6.

This is my recollection from what I have heard. These are great
questions for the delivery meeting which is more focused on Firefox.
See https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/DeliveryMeetings/2009-10-28 Or see
Shaver, Beltzner, and/or damon.

These are all issues you should raise at the weekly Firefox Delivery
meeting.

Sorry, I hadn't noticed about the delivery meeting until now :-)
And there had been info about schedule in previous Weekly Status Meeting.

Thanks for your answers, they are useful.

OK, but between the answer that *were* brought about the Firefox 3.6
schedule in the weekly meeting yesterday, and what you said above for
the Firefox 3.7 schedule, I'm not sure there will be much more to add
about this subject in the delivery meeting tomorrow.

In short, frequent updates for Firefox 3.6 will be delivered on the
update channel which should allow to keep a second week of December
release date for 3.6 final, so it won't come that late, therefore,
adding also the parallel work, the spring of 2010 for 3.7 target doesn't
seem endangered at the moment.
