In gathering requirements for Kilimanjaro it has become clear that the scope of the work requires more than a single Kilimanjaro milestone. Iterating on our process, our first stop along the way is Basecamp - the first stop on a team's ascent up a mountain.

Basecamp is defined as the set of requirements to ship a B2G phone with Telefonica in the Brazilian market. At a high level these requirements include completing the minimum viable B2G product, integrating Persona, the Mozilla Marketplace and more broadly apps, and providing an good experience in this specific market. The product team will publish the set of requirements for these pieces to dev-planning shortly. Each product manager will also communicate the requirements to their respective team and is available to answer any questions.

Basecamp work is the highest short term priority for the Mozilla project but it is still a subset of Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro continues to be the focus of the Mozilla project so that we can deliver on our vision of the Web as the Platform. We will continue to triage and track Kilimanjaro work, and you should continue to work on your Kilimanjaro deliverables with a priority given to Basecamp work.

Thanks,

Lawrence
