In keeping with the goal of doing a Gecko 1.9 release every 4-6 weeks, I
propose that we plan for January 29 for the next release. (This is a
bit longer than 6 weeks, due to the holidays.) We should figure out the
specific goals for this release before the January 3rd Gecko 1.9
meeting. Here's my proposed list:

- Resolve ntdll.dll topcrash as seen in 1.9a1
- Cycle collector
- New textrun code in for all 3 platforms
- Resolve major Linux and Mac text rendering issues

Any others? (Keep in mind that this is just for 1.9a2, and not for 1.9
overall.)

I'd like to switch to using the new Linux refplatform, and if that goes well
turn on libxul for Firefox; I'll let preed comment whether that's actually
practical or not in the next four weeks.

I don't know when bug 130078 wants in again on trunk, but a2 might be the right time frame given that it had interaction problems with other code; you'd want to follow up with roc on that.

Is it reasonably to get incremental XML parsing in there too?

I feel like at some point we should set a firm deadline for it, since at this
point it blocks some regressions by other changes that assume incremental DOM
parsing in general...
