We really have no option at this point. Nobody's maintaining LXR, and
it's causing us sysadmin headaches. MXR is being actively maintained,
and we can expect problems we find with it to get fixed.
If there's issues that are preventing you from using MXR, please get
them filed as bugs in Webtools :: LXR in Bugzilla, and if they're
already filed, CC me on them or comment if I'm already CCed. The best
option at this point is to fix the issues people have with MXR.

Hmm. No active development for more than 2 years. I wonder if anybody
else is maintaining their own fork? Is it worthwhile to contact other
LXR installations (like *BSD) and encourage them to "upgrade" to MXR?
