we have our very first Thunderbird 3.0 Beta 1 Release Candidate builds
available here[*]. We will be testing these builds in the next few days
and we would appreciate it, if you could test them as well.
The usual disclaimers apply - either backup your current profile, or
create a new profile and run TB 3.0 Beta 1 RC1 against the new profile.
If you see real showstopper bugs, then please let me know ASAP and make
sure that a bug is filed on that issue.
Thanks & Cya
Simon

is it normal that all widgets in the message pane change their font size
depending on whether the pane is expanded or not?
RQ
And the funny thing is that currently collapsed view is only like 10px
smaller than expanded view.
I certainly hope these things will change for good post Beta 1... :)

Where have the extended folderpanes gone?
I really liked to have a view on the number mails I have in a folder and
what the size is.
Now the option is gone, although the config option is still in
about:config under mail.showfolderpanecolumns,
but htey don't appear. Please tell me they aren't gone.
