The mobile team landed its strings for Mobile Firefox 4 beta 3. The
deadline for final string translations is December 1, 2010. This is a
good time for everyone to work on their version. We will likely have
one more beta (a beta 4), but this will be very close to the New
Year/Holiday celebrations. There will be work to do, but if you get the
bulk of the work done now, you should be in good shape around holiday time.
Axel has opened signoffs here:
https://l10n-stage-sj.mozilla.org/shipping/dashboard?av=fennec4.0
Sign off is *mandatory*.
Please sign off on any work that you do. We will *not* take any locales
who have not signed off on their work. Let's use the tools Axel and
Gandalf have developed.
If you have any questions about errors or warnings that you find on the
URL view I just pasted above, please ask in this thread.
Thanks everyone. Your work is incredible and everyone appreciates the
effort very sincerely.
Best wishes,
Seth
BTW, if you (like me) don't have a mobile device compatible with Mobile
Firefox 4, you can change this line in the chrome.manifest file from
> manifest chrome/en-US.manifest
to
> manifest chrome/localized.manifest
and it should work.
Francesco
I just pinged Stuart in IRC to see. I also added him to the bug.
Let's see what we find out.

Thanks & awesome.
How about Bloglines? We removed it from Firefox and it is removed en the
en-US version of mobile. Can we just change the region.properties or do
i have to file a bug.
Greetings

selectHelper.emptytext - searching from UI i could not find it. And
there is no comment what it is or where i can see it.

That's used in
http://mxr.mozilla.org/mobile-browser/source/chrome/content/browser.xul#293,
the string is a description like you have in the Firefox urlbar if it's
empty and not focused.
