[Event Report] Mozcafe@bcrec, Durgapur on 13th February, 2013

Hello Everybody,

Dr.B.C.Roy Engineering College, Durgapur in calibration with Hrzn2k13,the
11th annual National Level technical fest of our college organized first
and a full day mozilla event named "Mozcafe@bcrec" on 13th Feb, 2013.

The Registration for the event was started at 10:00 A:M, About 55 students
had successfully registered for the event.
The whole event was divided into two parts:-
<1>Workshop
<2>Hands on Session based on talks.

The workshop was started by me at 10:30 A:M in CSE/IT seminar hall with the
topic "mozilla - a way to open source." by Chandan Kumar.

Shahid Ali Farooqi, The mozilla Remo had visited our College. He has solved
the queries of the student during hands on session.

He also motivated us so that we can contribute more in open source
depending upon circumstances.

Finally the session ended with Group photography at about 05:00 P:M.

Followings are the outcomes of the event:-

1. Formation of mozilla group in the durgapur.
2. A Hindi Translation Sprint will be organized on 24th Feb, 2013 to
encourage newbie for doing contribution to localization.
3. Monthly meeting will be organized in the last saturday of each Month.
4. We are planning to come up with one big mozilla festival in NIT
Durgapur.
5. This Mozcafe@bcrec event will be organized every year in the month of
february.
6. We are getting good response and hoping that Durgapur Mozilla group
will contribute a lot to open source.

We would like to thanks all the persons who have helped us in successfully
organizing the event and a great thanks to mozilla foundation for the swag.

Due to delay in swag delivery by UPS courier services we will providing
mozilla swag distribution to them on day after tomorrow.
