Hi Chris and Axel,

Forwarding the mail that started among most important and largest localization group. It is becoming really very difficult for me to answer all the questions. They all helped me to get the review done on very large scale. Even other languages contributors are unable in clarifying about not being released with ff3.

The news started a big debate in Indian localization group. Only thing that will help that we should try to release at least all languages that are in incubator asap.

Regards,

Rajesh

Dear Rajesh and the List,

I am deeply disappointed at Hindi and other Indic languagers like Bengali not
making the cut for firefox 3. We have long believed that Firefox is one of
the best things to have happened to Indic language users, and packages like
padma have made it even even more attractive. That is why we have contributed
to its localisation. So to find out that we are still not there makes me sad.

I did follow this thread:

http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.dev.l10n/browse_thread/thread/a805fcb4bcb4b626#

But it still does not give me a clear answer as to when would we have it on
Firefox 3? Why can't we get it in the very next release. As a layperson and
as somebody who has been, institutionally and personally, involved in its
review process, I want things to move forward and as quickly as they can.
Otherwise I am sorry to say that my advocacy for firefox in future will sound
hollow in my own eyes.

Do let me know if I have missed something. Till then I remain
sad but hopeful

cheers
ravikant
