21 locales still have errors in Firefox files (27 locales in some app, 3rd test with lot)

Hi all,

I updated my script to be able to check files par applications (fx, tb etc).
# Sorry I couldn't take time to update my script and check all locale files
# before the initial Fx3.5 RC deadline.

I checked all locales with your latest (pulled about 17:00 at US time)
mozilla-1.9.1 files again.

I'm happy to find many problems are fixed after the previous report. ;)
But unfortunately following 21 locales still have (or introduced new) problems
*in Firefox*:
bn-IN, es-AR, gl, hi-IN, id, ka, kn, lv, mk, ml, mn, mr, or, si, sk, sl, sq, te,
th, tr, uk

These problems are not release blocker and some problems (dup of same id/value
etc) will not cause no actual ui problem but better to be fixed.

And following 27 locales have syntax/placeholder/duplicate problems in each
applications:
bn-IN, ca, da, es-AR, gl, he, hi-IN, hu, id, ka, kn, lv, mk, ml, mn, mr, or, si,
sk, sl, sq, ta-LK, te, th, tr, uk, zh-TW

I was checking the log for the locale that I work on[1] and the duplicate
entries do not show up locally. These are the ones that I had fixed last week on
the default[2].

Can you please point me to what I am missing and where should I be looking for
the duplicates?

Thanks Runa,

It seems that I made this reported with old files (human error caused by zero
hour of sleep...). Sorry and Thanks pointing me about it.

I'll re-check and post new results in an hour...

Hi,

I've fixed firefox and toolkit related issues (there was only
duplicated strings).

How can I know if there is still some problems in the other
products???

Sorry I forgot to mention that I did it for galician locale [gl].

Hi Frco,

Though I didn't list up all the log file urls but you can see all the errorcheck
log in per app directories.

if your locale are in the list for each app, find your
${locale}.2009052718.errorsummary file in the directory.

In case your locale's accesskey rule is to keep same as en-US, it's please check
it. Otherwise, you can gen similar output with compare-locale.pl or see axel's
beautiful dashboard and *.compare files are just fyi.

Thanks a lot for your explanation!!

If was very usefull.. I checked and fixed all files and commited to
hg.

So [gl] repo shouldn't contain any of those listed errors.

We talked about that in a previous thread, and the java/ant/etc
requirements don't really blend in well with the dashboard. We might
port some of the algorithms over to the dashboard after the next
iteration, which is going to be a rather large change already.
