odd combo of ANNOUNCE and reminder, but still:
This post is for the folks that pick up work on l10n-central now, or
have been working on l10n-central for ages. Localizers that intend to
have their 4.0 work cloned from 1.9.2 can ignore this.
Going through the sign-offs for Beta2, I found quite a few regressions,
and some changes of the search engines and region.properties settings.
Those took me by surprise, and thus, a reminder:
Changes to searchplugins and region.properties need to go through a bug,
and need review.
In this particular case, I'm comparing l10n-central against 1.9.2, which
is a bit awkward in terms of "change", but in terms of updating our
users, it is.
Please make sure to have the status of 1.9.2 on central as a base line.
To do that, the following quick path is OK, decided by me myself and I:
File a bug on your component,
"[ab-CD] update searchplugins and region.properties to 1.9.2 status"
CC l1...@mozilla.com
and land the status as-is in 1.9.2 on l10n-central with a check-in
comment referring to that said bug, i.e., "bug 54321, update
searchplugins and region.properties to 1.9.2 status". Paste a link to
the changeset on l10n-central to the bug, and mark the bug FIXED.
Thanks
