Hi,

not sure if that's the right forum but trying.

I know that Fennec was modified to support multi locale builds for
searchplugins (and bookmarks?).
Since I'm shipping multi-locale builds of Firefox since years that
feature would be very interesting to have for Firefox as well.
I guess most of the needed things are available already so building
Firefox that way is probably not that hard but I haven't a real idea
where to start.

Any hints?

Thanks,
Wolfgang

We're doing a bunch of tricks for Fennec to be able to ship a
multi-locale build, and I'm not sure that they work ad-hoc for Firefox,
in particular, I don't know the regression risk of the differing
packaging of search plugins and bookmarks.

I know that Vlad would like to see a multi-locale build for WinCE, but
that's a completely different story, too.

I'm not sure what a multi-locale build for our downloaded builds is
supposed to be, too. We need a strong target installation that gives us
a good guidance on the compromise between user experience and download size.
