Guys,

many thanks for the massive feedback. I talked with David Ascher
(CEO of Mozilla Messaging) about this and we are both very excited.

Just a short update, as a lot of locales have already checked in
updates for their Thunderbird localization on the trunk.

| Green tinderbox:
| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
| cs, de, fr, ka, ko, lt, nb-NO, nl, nn-NO, pl, ru, sk, sv-SE, zh-CN
|
| Orange tinderbox:
| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
| be, es-ES, tr
|
| Red tinderbox:
| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
| af, bg, ca, da, el, en-GB, es-AR, eu, fi, ga-IE, gu-IN, he, hu, it,
| ja, ja-JP-mac, mk, mn, pa-IN, pt-BR, ro, sl, zh-TW

So we went from
- 4 to 14 locales with a green tinderbox
- 9 to 3 locales with a orange tinderbox
- 26 to 23 locales with a red tinderbox

The pt-PT (European Portuguese) localizers have also done a lot of
work and their locale will probably also show up as green, once
pt-PT has been added to mozilla/mail/locales/all-locales (bug 436166).

Again guys, many thanks for the feedback and I'm looking forward to
what you can accomplish once Firefox 3 is out of the door and you
can shift your focus to Thunderbird as many of you have announced.

Cya
Simon

Hello Simon,

With FF3 released I can dedicate more time to THB. Could you please add
tinderbox for sq (Albanian) as well? Or let me know if anything has to
be done prior to asking for a tinderbox?

cheers

I got the answer from previous posts by Simon & Axel. Sorry for the noise.

Great.

Thunderbird 3 will be the next major release. There will definitely
be minor releases of Thunderbird 2 before that. Currently TB 2.0.0.15
is in the works. It remains to be seen whether there's need for more
minor releases. That mainly depends on how many serious security and
stability issues will be found in code affecting TB2 in the coming
weeks and months.

Personally I think it is always great to get more localized releases,
even so late in the release cycle. I guess it depends more on the
amount of time that you are able to spend on the localization, not on
MoMo's willingness to accept it.
