Hi localizers,

As of today, SeaMonkey comm-central trunk nightly builds get repackaged
with localizations from Mercurial, giving us localizes builds again.

The builds show up in
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/nightly/latest-comm-central/
(or latest-trunk) and the buildbot reports to
http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showbuilds.cgi?tree=Mozilla-l10n-ab-CD

Notes:
- We only have Linux and Windows builds at the moment, I still need to
work on getting Mac builds as well.

- We don't have automatic updates for those builds yet.

- Only nightly builds are repackaged, so the code of the builds is
always the same as the nightlies in the same directory, even though
the localization is taken from the state when the L10n builds were
started.

- Checkins into l10n-central/ab-CD trigger recreating an ab-CD locale
build, using the current en-US nightly.

- No compare-locales is running on those builds yet, any L10n
inconsistency is only spotted in using the builds currently, or in
using compare-locales locally. We're working on getting
compare-locales to work for SeaMonkey at all in
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403993

- Red on your tinderbox waterfall means either a build problem on our
side (e.g. Mac currently) or missing files in your localization. Both
orange and green are working builds, I still need to figure out how
to suppress the warnings that currently give us orange builds, I
think it's on all locales that don't have dictionaries.

- L10n BUILDS STILL BREAK in download manager and password manager, see
dependencies on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=286110
that are still open. This is why we will not release L10n builds of
Alpha 1, but we hope to get both working soon after that.

Thanks to Benjamin Smedberg and Axel Hecht for helping me to get those
builds up.

One more note for Thunderbird localizers: I'll work with the Thunderbird
team to get such builds up there as well, it should be easy to apply the
configuration changes there as well as we use very similar
instrumentation. I'm sure that on this basis we'll also have Thunderbird
L10n builds up very soon now.

Hi!

Last week I did some steps to make Hungarian SeaMonkey 2 translation. I
would like to see if it is enough to get first Hungarian builds of
SeaMonkey. Can you help me to put Hungarian version into the game?

Best regards,
KAMI

See the SeaMonkey 2 stuff on the
https://wiki.mozilla.org/SeaMonkey:Localization page and please file a
bug to be added to all-locales, like the other locales did.

Thanks and nice to see Hungarian join the SeaMonkey 2 train!

wow. This is amazing. SM2 l10n builds were delivered to ftp in 2-6
minutes after push. Even a win build!

Great job, Robert and everybody.

This part is fixed, we should get Mac builds for all locales that don't
break while repackaging when the next set of nightly builds is done,
i.e. in a few hours. All locales that did code updates since I got it to
work should already have mac builds through the hg trigger.

Hi!

Now I have finished the first part of translation. You can grab it from
my svn tree:
http://hun.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/hun/trunk/seamonkey_2/hu

Also I can put a tarball somewhere if you want. I haven't got hg access
this time, but I will request one. Until that can you be so kind to put
my translation into the Hungarian tree?

ftp://ftp.devall.hu/kami/seamonkey_2_hu.tar.gz

Note: the Help is not included into this package. You can include
English one until we deliver some localized versions.

Best regards,
KAMI

If you had CVS access, you have hg access. Else, the owner of the
Hungarian Mozilla locale on hg needs to do that. I may have theoretical
access to the locale repositories, but only the localizers of the
respective languages are supposed to touch them.

So, please contact your Mozilla locale owner for this.

Thanks,

HI!

I asked Mr. Andras Timar (Hungarian Leader) to add SeaMonkey 2
translation to the correct place. Please check if everything is OK, also
please enable the build of Hungarian version.

"the owner of the Hungarian Mozilla locale on hg needs to do that " --
Andras said he couldn't. Are there any trick, or documentation about it?
Where should I post my public key?

Please file a bug for that, like
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453100 has been filed for
Romanian.

With "that" I meant adding the code. As for getting access, please
follow
http://developer.mozilla.org/en/Create_a_new_localization#File_CVS_account_bug
for that.

I moved the builds to
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/nightly/latest-comm-central-l10n/
for consistency with Thunderbird and Firefox.
Additionally, the MAR files for automated updates and the language packs
show up there now, but note that automated update is not yet working as
we are not uploading the needed info to the update server right now -
that's the next planned step.
