one odd thing: in 1.0.8, the concatenations pane in the forms manager
(tools > forms manager > edit form info, other saved info >
concatenations) is empty. this doesn't happen in 1.1.1.

Hello Tsahi,

did you test it? Did you fill in a form? Seems that this window appears only if form data
exist. In this window are 2 labels (Concatenations for primary contact) and a field
labeled Name. In a "virgin" SM 1.1.1. it doesn't work, too. Only in my Sorbian SM 1.1
where I have form data in, the content of this window is visible.

that's a strange UI. they should have had these fields empty when
there's nothing to show there. i tried the 1.0.8 with the profile i use
for daily work, and it showed fine, so i guess you're right.

Hello Tsahi,

I had an idea and found the reason. Seems that this behavior is wished by the developers.
In the regional jar (US.jar resp. your IL.jar) are in the subfolder wallet of the folder
communicator-region some wallet .xul files, one of them is WalletConcatenated.xul. Go to
line 474, there are these lines:

<groupbox hidden="true">
<caption label="&concatOther.title;"/>label
<grid class="indent">
<columns>
<column/>
<column flex="1"/>
</columns>
<rows>

The attribute "hidden" has the value "true". Set it "false" and pack the US.jar resp.
IL.jar again. Then you will see the group box with its title. But in the whole file (the
other wallet*.xul files I didn't check) all labels have the attribute hidden. In the same
pane I saw for instance the string value of the label concatPrimary.label.
Th corresponding .dtd is WalletViewer.dtd in /communicator/wallet/.

It is, and we're working hard to replace it with the stuff Firefox has
in its place, so that future, toolkit-based SeaMonkey versions will not
use that crappy UI and code.

Actually it would be a possibility to customize the form pattern to national practices.
Maybe that this was the reason that the developers placed those wallet*.xul files in the
region jar file which is intended for such specific things.

Erm, I suspect there's an error with the 1.1.1 installer - it is only a
1.1MB file, which sounds too small for a full installer...

try again. there was a problem with this file when i first uploaded it,
and i guess some of the mirrors got the corrupt file in the few minutes
it was online.
