You might have heard about the 0day exploit recently found in Gecko,
affecting probably all SeaMonkey versions (except trunk) as well. Of
course, we are preparing a fast "oilspill" security update for this,
under the version of SeaMonkey 2.0.10, to be released tomorrow if possible.

Windows installers, Mac disk images and Linux packages of that new
version are now available in the linux-i686, mac, and win32
subdirectories of
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/nightly/2.0.10-candidates/build1/

Please help us testing those, we want to know if they work as soon as
possible so we can ship this update to our users possibly as early as
tomorrow, hopefully still this week, in any case.

Thanks a lot,

Robert Kaiser

Testing Japanese version on Win32:

A. Installation went OK, but 2 add-ons reported (rough translation):
"necessary add-ons for these add-ons to work were not found":
1. Chatzilla Japanese Language Pack 0.9.85
2. JavaScript Debugger Japanese Language Pack 0.0.87.4

I left these as they were (icons showed red exclamation mark) and did
not uninstall them.

B. Running browser seemed OK. Tested BBC website, with flash playing fine.

C. Mail seems normal also, sending and receiving tested.

You may have updated to newer add-on versions than those we are shipping
with SeaMonkey itself, and that breaks the dependencies.

Sounds good for release, thanks for testing!
