Hello Mozilla localizers.
td;dr: There is a brand new extension called Pontoon Tools, that will
bring *notifications from Pontoon* directly to your Firefox. You can
*install it from AMO
<
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/pontoon-tools/>*. I am eager
to hear *your feedback* and thoughts for new features!
So the long story now... I used to check Pontoon few times a day, if the
bell is gray, or demanding my attention with pink color. So in the past
week I have spared a few hours a day and built the extension mentioned
above to bring me the notifications directly into Nightly. After you
install Pontoon Tools, you will see a new button on the toolbar, that
will have a small badge in the corner. If the badge is gray, there are
no notifications for you. If it's pink, just click it and you will see,
what's new. At the time of writing this, a new update is in the review
process, and will add few more links to the toolbar button context menu.
You will get the update in a day or so from now.
Please do not forget to also check the options/preferences page
(accessible from Add-ons manager). It allows to set the update interval
(default 15 minutes, minimum 5 minutes). There is also an input to
specify your l10n team, which is used for opening links to team pages.
It defaults to your Firefox locale, but you may want to set a different
one (e.g. because you have Firefox in a different language or language
settings, than you translate to). You can find the correct one in green
at the top of your team page on Pontoon (for example for Czech it is
"cs" on
https://pontoon.mozilla.org/cs/).
Spoiler: As the extension name suggests, there will be more features
coming. I already have some ideas, but feel free to reach out to me with
your feedback and own ideas for new features and options, that may help
you with your workflow.

P.S. Many thanks to Jakub Rychlý for testing all the early version, and
also to Matjaž for review and for information about Pontoon setup and
the coming API.
