Hi guys,

most of you have probably already noticed this. Since last Tuesday (July
15th) we're in string freeze for the upcoming 0.9 release. Unfortunetely
we had a few late-l10n checkins on July 16th (bug 426153, bug 413103, bug
444292 and bug 374464), but since then everything has been quiet.

We're currently aiming for an RC1 in nine days (July 28th), although that
one may come a few days later. Nevertheless it would be great if you guys
could get your locales in shape within the next nine days if possible.

Looking at our tinderboxen[*] the following 14 locales are already green:
es-ES, fr, ga-IE, ja, ja-JP-mac, ka, lt, nb-NO, nl, pl, pt-PT, sk, sv-SE
and zh-CN

The following 4 locales are orange:
es-AR, ko, nn-NO and ro

The following 14 locales are red:
ca, cs, da, de, eu, hu, it, mk, pt-BR, ru, sl, tr, uk and zh-TW

[*] http://ssitter.googlepages.com/tinderbox-l10n-branch

Looking back at past releases, that looks really good to me. I would
appreciate a feedback from you guys (especially the teams with orange or
red locales) on your ability to make the RC1 date.

Thanks
Simon Paquet

One more additional note because I saw some cvs trunk-only checkins:

Lightning and Sunbird 0.9 will be released from the MOZILLA_1_8_BRANCH
just like the earlier releases. Therefore please commit your updates not
only to the cvs trunk, but to the 1.8 branch as well.

Thanks
Simon

Short update on the current situation:

- Right now 20 locales have green tinderboxen
ca, da, es-AR, es-ES, fr, ga-IE, ja, ja-JP-mac, ka, lt, nb-NO, nl,
nn-NO, pl, pt-PT, ro, sk, sv-SE, uk and zh-CN

- 1 locale is orange:
ko

- 11 locales still have red tinderboxen:
ca, de, eu, hu, it, mk, pt-BR, ru, sl, tr and zh-TW

Great progress, guys! Thanks for your efforts.

Hi,

I'm doing Catalan localisation, and yesterday I saw that I missed some "cvs
add" of files. I committed the files but I still have red tinderbox. The
problem is in file

/l10n/ca/other-licenses/branding/sunbird/brand.dtd

Is there any problem with tinderbox as described in
http://ccgi.standard8.plus.com/blog/archives/27?

Quim.

check out the last lines in
http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showlog.cgi?log=Mozilla1.8-l10n-ca/1216980360.1216980420.3312.gz,
they say:

Hi,

Finally I found the problem. We checked that file in trunk but not in 1.8.
mea culpa.

Thanks

Quim.

Hi Simon,

maybe de will need some help for checking in done translation into
CVS.
We continued translation since 0.8 [1] and are ready to go - but I'm
not the Calendar owner for de and I don't have access to / experience
with checking in to CVS. Unfortunately nightrat seems to be very busy
because he is really hard to catch. I don't know if he will be back in
time, so in case he won't: What would we have to do to not miss 0.9?

Regards
Robert

Send me the updated files in the cvs file structure in a zip package by
mail and I'll find someone to upload them within the next few days.
Please make sure to CC nightrat on the mail to keep him in the loop.
