Results from 2nd of l10n testing on v1.4

Please find below the results of our second round of l10N testing on v1.4, that finished last Friday evening (May 16th).
[Note that this week QAnalyst testers are checking strings that landed late for some locales, and that they therefore were not able to cover at the time. Will notify here if anything comes up]

* Results per locale and per component:

* Important note: there has been no update on Croatian or Bulgarian since 1.3.

* 1.4 completed locales that have been tested by QAnalyst testers are:
* Bulgarian, Bengali from Bengal, Catalan, Czech, German, Greek, Spanish (2 missing strings), Croatian, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Dutch, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Serbian Cyrillic, Serbian Latin, Turkish, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, Danish, Basque, French, Galician, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Malay, Nepali (1 missing string), Punjabi, Albanian (2 missing strings) and Swedish

* Khmer was planned to be tested, but unable to test because of missing fonts : Seems like Bug 815577 was fixed, but it seems the latest partner base image doesn't include that fix

* French: 100% tested by French localizer

* ONGOING: Bengali from India (bn-IN): 36% of testing completed. l10n community is doing their own testing

* ONGOING: Hindi (hi-IN): 3% of testing completed. l10n community is doing their own testing

* ONGOING: Xhosa: are completing their l10n work on 1.4. Testing will come soon

1010529: (NEW) [Buri] Greek letter "κ" looks like English letter 'k' at gaia in some cases
1001702: (VERI FIXED) [E.ME] - The word "Homescreen" is not translated in any language in the Everything.Me and Smart Collection confirmation screens.
1004239 (VERI FIXED) [Messaging]: The string "The page at app://sms.gaiamobile.org says:" is not translated when you attempt to attach a large file
1003384 (VERI FIXED) [SMS] - The phone type "Other" is not translated in any of the languages when suggested contacts are shown in SMS
1000454 (VERI FIXED) [Gaia]: The timestamp for a file downloaded a week ago is missing on all languages

* Other main issues identified:

* Nepali keyboard is missing: - 995521
* Albanian keyboard missing but in the works: 964816
* Punjabi keyboard missing: 991315

Tamil is not yet come out for QA testing ?? Since we have completed the
translations before May 14th on Pootle.
If so why ?

Sorry if it's considered unrelated, but we would like to
create/include auto-suggest/-correct features for our language, and
almost two weeks ago I filed bug 1007547 [1] for that purpose but it
has had no attention. Who should I ping/cc?

Hi Arun,

Maybe you didn't get the chance to see it, but I sent out a few messages on dev.l10n explaining which locales could be tested by QAnalyst testers, due to limited resources and time constraints. There was a list of specific locales, that have been completed a couple months back, and which were communicated here.

However I also explained that if a locale was ready, the l10n community could go in and do the testing on Moztrap, preferably before May 16th. I'm sorry if there has been any confusion about these messages!
No worries however, as I understand there will be a sprint beginning of June for l10n work and testing, and you will be participating there. This will be the opportunity to test Tamil on 2.0.

Sorry again if there has been any confusion concerning my previous messages about all this. Hope this information clarifies things.
Concerning Keyboard: I believe Arky can help you with this.
