Dears,

I would like to ask for clarification of the meaning to this sentence:
dontrememberDescription.label in /browser/chrome/browser/preferences/privacy.dtd

"&brandShortName; will use the same settings as private browsing, and
will not remember any history as you browse the Web."

Is this sentence equivalent to

a) &brandShortName; will not remember any history as you browse the
Web, just like &brandShortName; would behave in private browsing.

or

b) &brandShortName; will not remember any history as you browse the
Web, additionally the setting will be applied to private browsing
sessions.

In few languages which I can barely understand, zh-CN translated the
sentence into (b) and ja translated it into (a). I translated it into
(b) and a fellow pointed out it is in fact not correct.

And if I were wrong is it too late for fx3.5b4 opt-in?

Best,

Tim

The meaning (a) has been intended here.

Any locales whic have used the (b) version should probably correct
their translation.

Axel would be the best person to answer that question.
