Hi everyone,

If your locale didn't make it into Focus v3, fear no more! There will be an l10n update to Focus by the end of the month.

L10n deadline: Feb 24
Note that there are no new strings - well, except the one that needed an updated placeholder and that is already available for update on your usual translation tools and on github[1] (see my last email on dev.l10n about this).

As you can see, Stefan is regularly sending out screenshots so you can test :)

As we've been doing in the past, I'll open up bugs for each new locale so you can sign-off on your testing. Closing the bug as Resolved-Fixed for your locale will be the signal to us that it is good to ship. So please follow closely your incoming localization bugs ;)

For locales that have already shipped on v3: as usual we will continue shipping those that are at 100% completion on the deadline day.

It's really exciting because it seems we have a ton of new locales already :D

If you're not localizing Focus yet and are interested, we can get you set up!
* Pootle: reach out to tech team alias (tech-team at translate dot org dot za)
* Pontoon: make the request from within the tool

Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone,

I've opened up bugs so that *new* locales for Focus 3.1 who are at 100% completion - and have screenshots to test against - can sign-off on their l10n QA work.

Please find them attached to this meta here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1337801
(remember you need to close the bug as Resolved-Fixed to indicate your sign-off)

Deadline for string completion and sign-off on these QA bugs is still Feb 24. So we can still accept new locales until then :D

If I forgot your locale, feel free to reach out or to add your bug directly to the meta above.

Thanks everyone!

Hi Delphine,

Should we assume that the new locales will have screenshots generated
for us to test?

Or do we have to explicitly request them?

salut,

Hey Jordi,

Thanks for your email, I went through the list of new locales against the
screenshots list yesterday, and didn't realize Catalan was missing in the
later!

Afrikaans is also a new locale that needs screenshots, which is why I
didn't file a testing bug quite yet.

Thanks for noticing! I'm sure it'll be available soon, I'll get in touch
with St3fan to be extra safe (but I'm sure is already aware) :)

cheers
delphine

Hi Jordi,

I add locales that reach 100%. Most recently fa and ca. So screenshots
should appear tomorrow. I will send an email to this list when they are
ready. Thanks!
